A big storm, cross country skiing, and Ella's bubbly adventure

Auld Lang Syne, 2008/9

We start out in Marion, OH. Then a quick trip to Auntie Ann's and Uncle Pats in Prospect, OH. Next is a visit with Uncle John and Aunt Stephanie in Mt. Gilead, OH. We move on to Delphos, OH for a visit with great-grandmother and the days-after-christmas festivities in Ft. Jennings, OH. Then we jet back to the Maine for a New Years bash in lovely Gorham, ME. Finally, back home. December was a busy month!

Pellet Stove, Power Outage, and Sleigh Ride '08

Some people asked for pics of our pellet stove install, here it is. Keeping us toasty warm without using oil!

We had a bad ice storm up here a week or so ago and lost power. Temps in the house fell to around 50 before we figured out how to get the stove running on battery power, then we were fine.

Finally, we took a nice sleigh ride around downtown with Ella. She had a great time waving to all the nice people shopping on Exchange street in the Old Port.

Ella's Birthday Weekend

Ella helped us plan her party, then was the belle of the ball. Notice her 'Beatles' shirt, we had Beatles playing at her party. We took her to an apple orchard to pick apples Sunday morning!
